Susan Lynn Asche passed away November 18, 2019 at the age of 56 in Eaton, CO.
She was born on June 14, 1963 in Columbus, Nebraska to Terry and Marlene Engel. Susan grew up on a farm outside of Columbus and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1981. She went on to school in Lincoln, Nebraska where she earned her degree in dental assisting from Southeast Community College and then Hastings, Nebraska where she received her degree in Dental Hygiene. She practiced hygiene for over 34 years in the Greeley area.
Susan wed Lonnie Asche on August 23, 1986. To this union two boys were born, Zachary and Trevor. They were the light of her life and she enjoyed watching them in all of their activities.
Susan was also very involved in her church, St. Peter Catholic Church. She was the founder of a ministry called Heaven on Earth inner healing ministry. She was a singer in the church choir and was a part of a church community called Lord's Day. Susan was loved by many and loved many in return.
Susan is survived by her husband, Lonnie; sons Zachary of Colorado Springs, and Trevor of Jacksonville, FL; her mother, Marlene Engel of Columbus; brothers, Jeff (Rosemary) Engel of San Antonio, TX and Jay (Amy) Engel of North Platte, NE; brothers-in-law, Tim Asche of Columbus, NE, Todd Asche (Julie) of St. Louis, MO, Rodney (Marta) Asche of Glendive, MT and Brad (Shelly) Asche of Tulsa, OK. Nieces and nephews Jami Engel, Cody Engel, Joe Engel, Jordan Engel, Jacob Engel, Adam Engel, Cody (Angie) Asche, Tyler (Sarah) Asche, Brandon Asche, Bryan Asche, Devyn (Lance) Kilburn, Jarod Asche, and Marshall Asche.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Terry Engel; father in law, Lowell Asche, mother and father in laws, George and Mary Gatzemeyer.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620. Rosary will be 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th Street in Greeley with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 a.m. also at the church. All are invited to the interment at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Columbus, Nebraska.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or to a charity of choice in Susan’s name.
