Susan Kay “Suz” Lehker Carr, 51 of Evans, passed away in Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the North Colorado Medical Center.

She was born on June 28, 1963 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Henry and Sherry (Smith) Groenewald.

Susan married John Carr on January 3, 2014 in Greeley. She graduated from Aim’s Community College with an Associate’s Degree in business and later attended the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a degree in nursing and became a Registered Nurse.

She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband John and she loved spoiling her cats.

Survivors include her husband John Carr; a daughter, Madison Lehker; 2 brothers, Dan and Doug Groenewald and a sister Sara Reno. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Sherry Groenewald.

A memorial service to celebrate Suz’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Christ Community Church, 1301 15th Street in Greeley.
