Thelma Jeane (Einertson) Kennedy passed from this life into the arms of her loving Savior on October 9, 2011.
Jeane was born to Carl and Esther (Weaver) Einertson on August 9, 1930 in Genoa, CO. While still young, her family moved to Denver, CO where she graduated from high school and worked as a secretary. She married William (Bill) Kennedy on June 25, 1950. She and Bill spent sixteen years traveling the world together during Bill's service with the United States Air Force and they retired to Greeley, Colorado in 1967. Jeane was a devoted wife and a loving mother whose family and church were the most important things in her life.
She is survived by her son John Kennedy and his wife Nancy of Longmont, CO and daughters Linda Kennedy of Evans, CO, Sandra Ehrlich and husband Ron of Greeley, CO, Patricia Recknor and husband Joe of Evans, CO and Leilani Kennedy and husband Sid Langevin of Battlement Mesa CO; seven grandchildren, Brian Kennedy and wife Sara, David Kennedy and wife Meridee, Shauna Boker, Greg Filsinger and wife Amanda, Stacie Meek and Husband Brian, Amanda Nelson and husband Justin and Jamie Sinner and husband Lee; fourteen great grandchildren Kiersten Boker, Bradley Boker, Ruth Kennedy, Rachel Boker, Hayden Filsinger, Erik Kennedy, Tracey Filsinger, Abigayle Boker, Mekenna Kennedy, Kylee Meek, Kennedi Nelson, Triston Meek, Mekynlee Kennedy and Paisley Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, her brother Orlo (Chuck) Einertson and grandson Michael Tidquist.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church, 950 43rd Avenue. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 on Thursday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and Preschool or to the Colorado Alzheimer's Association in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue.
