Thomas Benavidez, 62, of Greeley, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home.

He was born March 28, 1959, in Greeley to Juan & Elisa (Ruiz) Moreno Benavidez. He attended high school in Greeley and went on to work at the Monfort of Colorado, at Walmart, but mainly as a handyman. He loved woodworking and enjoyed doing crafts.

Thomas was always one to help others. He was there for you when you needed an extra hand. He was a loving son to his mother and cared for her as she needed.

He is survived by his mother, Elisa (Alice) Benavidez, his brothers, John, Terry (Ann), and Jerry (Helen) Benavidez, and a sister, Anita Sanchez.

He was preceded by his father, John Benavidez.

Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue in Greeley. Inurnment will follow at Linn Grove Cemetery.
