Thomas Ben McElhinney, 66, of Evans passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at his home.
He was born June 19, 1953 in Marlette, Michigan to Wallace and Violet (Paling) McElhinney. Tom graduated from Greeley West High School in 1972 and went on to attend UNC in Greeley.
He worked in sales in the building materials industry and had been employed by Economy Lumber, BMC Building Materials and Lowes.
Tom is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Grauberger) McElhinney, his sons, Tucker McElhinney of Greeley, and Scott (Bekah) McElhinney of Petaluma, California, his sisters, Deborah (Michael) Dickerson of Florahome, Florida, Rebecca (Rob) Reckard of Evans, Colorado, Kathleen (Ron) Colwell of Great Falls, Montana, a brother, Bob (Christi) McElhinney of Denver, Colorado, mother-in-law, Shirley Grauberger of Greeley, Colorado, a brother-in-law, Lloyd (Linda) Grauberger of Hugo, Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, and a nephew.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado.
