Tiburcio "Butch" Martinez Salazar's Obituary
Tiburcio “Butch” Salazar of Greeley, passed away at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado on December 27, 2014.
Butch was born on April 23, 1947 in La Pryor, Texas to Manuel and Maria (Martinez) Salazar. He married Elizabeth Moor. He worked for Weld County for 20 years to provide for his family, and later on worked 4 years at UNC.
Mr. Salazar is survived by his wife, Liz, of Greeley; sons Butch Salazar Jr. and Samuel Salazar; daughters Anita Marie Lopez and Virginia Ann Salazar; brothers Manuel, John, Sam, Yrieno, Abel, Lionel, and Joel Salazar; sisters Candelaria Garza, Trinidad Cheatham, and Elizabeth Rocha; and 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Salazar; brothers Daniel and Milo Salazar; and sister Maria Rounds.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at La Trinidad Assembly of God Church, 601 21st Avenue. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the church.
