Tommie Joe "T.J." Morris, 65, of Greeley, died on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley.
He was born on July 7, 1941 in Willow, Oklahoma to H.C. and Leonard (Henderson) Morris.
T.J. married Linda Grove on December 28, 1984 in Longmont, Colorado. They lived in the Longmont area for most of their married life before moving to Greeley in 2003. He worked as the maintenance director for Terrace Heights Care Center in Boulder until his retirement.
Mr. Morris was an avid outdoorsman who loved horses, hunting and fishing. He rode bulls on the Pro Rodeo circuit for 3 years and following that he worked as a rodeo clown for 3 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Longmont.
Survivors include his wife Linda Morris of Greeley; 2 sons and their wives, Sean and Annette Jaehn of Greeley and Jim & Susan Morris of Brighton; 2 daughters, Heather Jaehn of Eaton and Becky Morris of Norfolk, Virginia; 7 Grandchildren; 3 brothers, Darrell Morris & his wife Carol of Henrietta, Oklahoma, Charles Morris of Granite, Oklahoma and Ron Morris & his wife Debbie of Parker, Colorado. His is preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Morris.
A memorial service to celebrate T.J.'s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Cremation.
