Tommy Roy Lobato, 79, of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
He was born on August 7, 1943, in Alamosa, Colorado to Ralph and Mercy Lobato. He graduated from Pierce High School in 1962. He honorably served in the Army from 1963 through 1965. On June 20, 1969, he married Lorraine Powell in Phoenix, Arizona.
Tommy was a professional driver for most of his life. He retired from the Greeley Evans Transit system where he drove city bus for the community. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed watching the Broncos, Nuggets and Rockies. He loved reading but he most especially loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Tommy is survived by his children Ric Barrick and his wife Cherie Hoffman, Tim Lobato, and Kim Magnusson and her husband Brett Magnusson, his grandchildren Nate, Nick, Noel and Nia Wasden, Brandon, Logan and Jenna Magnusson and his siblings Angie Lobato, JoEllen Hasbrouck, LeaNea Bryant, Lori File and Ralph Lobato Jr. and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, his parents, Ralph and Mercy, and by his sister, Priscilla Achziger.
A celebration of life service will be held, 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 501 49th Avenue, Greeley.
