Obituary

Verna Rose Dunn, 96, of Greeley, died on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Life Care Center of Greeley.
She was born to Alvin Wilbur and Anna Lulu (McKee) Copeland on March 26, 1910 in Superior, Nebraska.
As a teenager Verna's family moved to Greeley and she lived here for her the rest of her life. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1927. She married J. Clyde Dunn on February 9, 1928 in Greeley. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1985.
Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker for most of her life and she also worked in food services for Kersey Schools and later for the University of Northern Colorado in food services until her retirement. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Greeley and later in Westminster. She was a member of the Cloverly Club in Greeley for several years.
Survivors include a daughter, Maurine Dunn Sadoian and her husband Harry of Pismo Beach, California; 3 sons, James W. "Jim" Dunn and his wife Zelda of Greeley, Robert L. "Bob" Dunn and his wife June of San Jose, California and Alvin "Al" Dunn of Longmont; 9 grandchildren, Larry S. Dunn, Jerry D. Dunn and his wife Gloria, Ron L. Dunn and his wife Barbara, Deborah Bard, Sharyl Louderback and Laura Whitcomb and her husband Mike; 3 step grandchildren, Cheryl Swank and her husband Joe, Colleen Ruth and her husband Darwin and Steve Sharer and his wife Sandy; 15 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Blanch Dixon, Ellen Copeland and Pearl Edgar and 1 step great grandchild.
A memorial service to celebrate Verna's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel in Evans, 3501 S. 11th Avenue. Rev. Bob Hemphill of the Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church will officiate. A private family inurnment will be held at the Evans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church or to the Life Care Center of Greeley in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620.
