Obituary

Vincent P. Lewis, 78 of Greeley, Colorado died on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit.
He was born on May 23, 1931 in Limon, Colorado to Pat F. and Concetta (Carducci) Lewis. He graduated from Limon High School. He later served in the Marine Corps. Vince worked as a civil engineer for the United States Department of Agriculture. He later went on to work for Pete & D.L. Concrete and then Can-Do Concrete.
Mr. Lewis married Mildred S. Sealey on October 28, 1991 in Elko, Nevada. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Lewis of Greeley; 3 daughters, Connie Grendahl of Denver, Colorado, Melissa Lanini and husband Tyler Sullivan of Parker, Colorado and Donna M. Kitchen and son in law John Kitchen of Greeley; 3 sons, Scott C. Lewis and wife Cheryl of Pampa, Texas, Mark V. Lewis and wife Tina of Limon, Colorado and Larry Hinson of Evergreen, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a sister, Genevieve McCoun of Silver City, New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Concetta Lewis; 3 sisters, Mary Petrella, Ann Will and Cecilia Fitzgerald and 3 brothers, Edward, Dan and Frankie Lewis.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8th at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 915 12th Street in Greeley. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 until time of the Rosary which will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Graveside services 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado. Vince's family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Fairacres Manor and to Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado.
