Obituary

Violet May Schiefer, 74, of Eaton died on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Life Care Center in Greeley.
She was born on March 26, 1933 in Ault, Colorado to Fred and Amalia "Molly" (Roth) Leffler.
Violet graduated from Ault High School in 1951. She moved to Eaton with her family in 1957 and has lived there until the time of her passing. She graduated from Central Business College in 1952.
She married Clarence Edward Schiefer on March 26, 1962 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Eaton. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Schiefer worked for Agland in Eaton from 1952 until 1997. In 1997 she went to work as the secretary for Faith Lutheran Church in Eaton where she worked until 2007. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was active in choir and women's ministry and played piano for church services and choir. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren in school and sports activities.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Marsha Jeannine and Jim Harris of LaSalle; a son, Douglas Edward Schiefer of Eaton; a sister and her husband, Betty and Arden White of Cheyenne, Wyoming and 4 grandchildren; Daua Schiefer of Laveen, Arizona, Derek Schiefer of Eaton, Jennifer Harris and Jessica Harris both of LaSalle. In addition to her husband Clarence Schiefer, she is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Molly Leffler and a sister, Eileen Lind.
A funeral service to celebrate Violet's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Eaton. Interment Eaton Cemetery. There is no visitation scheduled.
