Virginia "Ginie" Schnelzer, of Fort Collins, formally of Milliken died July 30, 2009. Ginie was born on May 22, 1923 in Pittsburgh to Charles and Ruth Caldwell. She grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her teaching certificate. She married Joe Schnelzer on Dec. 21, 1941 in Wellsburg, WV. After 22 years in Florida, Ginie and Joe moved to Colorado to be with family. She was a member of Johnstown United Methodist Church and Red Hats Society in Milliken. She liked needlework and baking cookies.

Ginie is survived by son; J.R. (Lisa) Schnelzer of Milliken; Granddaughters, Gwen (Seth) Gilbert of Virginia Beach; and Emily Schnelzer of Florida; her great-grandson Ethan Gilbert and a sister Bette Brandt of Pittsburgh.

Ginie is preceded in death by her husband, WWII vet, Joe Schnelzer.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
