Virginia Irene Noyes, 90 of Evans, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2020 at her home in Evans surrounded by loving family.

She was born as Virginia Irene Seaman in Vona Colorado on June 11, 1930 to David Franklin and Ruth Virginia (Maag) Seaman.

Virginia graduated from Greeley High School in 1948. She later took Governmental Accounting at UNC.

She married Alfred Gene Noyes on March 15, 1952 in Fort Knox area. Gene was serving at Fort Knox Army base in Kentucky and Irene was working at Ray’s Poultry Farm in Greeley as a bookkeeper. While Gene was serving in the Army Irene continued to work at Ray’s until he was discharged. On Gene’s return they raised a family of 2 daughters and a son in Evans.

Mrs. Noyes worked at the City of Evans for over 24 years as the City/Court clerk. She loved to take care of her family and sew. Irene enjoyed working with cub/boy scouts for over 30 years.

Survivors include her daughters, Laura Brown of Evans, Sherri(Dave) Finn of South Dakota; her
son, Aaron Noyes of Evans; grandchildren, Matthew Finn, Chase(Kendra) Finn, Misty(Cam) Thornton; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Perrin, Colt, Maverick Finn and Ian Thornton

In addition to her husband, Gene (6/18/13), she is preceded in death by her mother/father, 2 brothers,3 sisters and father/mother/brother in-laws.

A memorial service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Columbine Church of Christ, 2403 9th Avenue in Greeley.
