Virginia “Bird” Rendon, 81, of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Tru Hospice Unit in Greeley.

She was born May 2, 1936 in Monterey, Mexico to Eucebio & Guadalupe (Hernandez) Lopez. She worked as a house keeper and cook. She enjoyed working with her hands and was very creative. She loved gardening, to crochet, do embroidery, arts, crafts, and to sew. She also loved spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by her son, Nicholas Rendon of Greeley, her daughters, Alicia Herrera of Evans, Guadalupe Rendon of Greeley, a sister, Mary L. Peña of Longmont, 9 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, Bicente & Guadalupe Lopez, Eucebio Herrera a son, Richard E. Rendon, Jr., a daughter Carmelita Rendon, 2 brothers, Peter & Juan Lopez, and a grandson, Demicio Rendon.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Recitation of the Rosary will be 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th Street in Greeley, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment Lakeview Cemetery.
