Walter Gordon Capron, 79 of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the North Colorado Medical Center. He was born on August 28, 1934 in Greeley to Frank Gordon and Elizabeth Laverne (Nicks) Capron. Walter graduated from Helix High School in La Mesa, California in 1952. He lived in San Diego for 50 years before moving to Greeley in 2004. Mr. Capron worked at the North Island Naval Base in Coronado, California as a planner and estimator for 25 years. He enjoyed lapidary and watching football on television. Survivors include his 4 daughters, Kim (Capron) Bush of Evans Colorado; Angela Athis of San Diego, California, Michelle Kennedy of Arizona and Stephanie Morris of San Diego, California; 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Timathy, Margaret, Brandon, Brooke, Katharine and Alexis and a great grandson, Noah. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Capron & son Walter Gordon Capron. Private family services will be held at a later date.
