William B. Balsley, 84, of Greeley, Colorado passed away peacefully at his home July 22, 2023, with family by his side. He was born August 18, 1938, to Benjamin and Louise (Fortner) Balsley in Napa, California.

William spent his early years living in California and attended Napa High School. In September of 1957, William joined the United States Navy and honorably served over the next four years. Soon after, he met the love of his life, Martha Sajona and the two married on July 7, 1973, in Virginia City, Nevada. They settled in Kelseyville, California from 1979 – 2018 raising their children Donavan and Michelle.

William was employed with Pacific Gas & Electric as a foreman for most of his life. His hobbies included model railroading, watching football, and traveling – so much in fact, he was able to visit all 50 states.
William was also a proud member of the USS Rainier Naval Reunion. His most special time was spent enjoying time with his family and grandchildren, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Martha, his son Donavan Balsley of Alamogordo, New Mexico, his daughter Michelle Phillips of Napa, California, his siblings James Balsley of Wilseyville, California and Sharon Halverson of Rescue, California, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He is preceded by his parents Benjamin and Louise Balsley, and three sisters, Viola Bruggy, Aloha McLaughlin, and Marie Travis.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620. Graveside Service will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Fort Logan Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, Colorado 80236.
