William C. Kennedy, 84 of Greeley.
William (Bill) Kennedy was called home to the arms of his loving Savior on January 30, 2008. Bill was born to Henry and Elsa (Johnson) Kennedy on January 28, 1924 in Evanston, IL. He married Jeane Einertson on June 25, 1950 in Denver, CO. He spent his young years in Chicago; the family later moved to Houston, TX, where he attended high school and enlisted in the Army Air Corp. He was commissioned as an officer, and pilot, and served his country during World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from active duty in 1968 and lived in Greeley until his passing.
He is survived by his wife Jeane, his son John Kennedy and his wife Nancy of Longmont, CO, and daughters Linda Kennedy of Evans, CO, Sandra Ehrlich and husband Ron of Greeley, CO , Patricia Recknor and husband Joe of Evans, CO, and Leilani Kennedy of Battlement Mesa CO; seven grandchildren, Brian Kennedy and wife Sara, David Kennedy and wife Meridee, Shauna Boker and husband Jason, Gregg Filsinger and wife Amanda, Stacie Meek and husband Brian, Amanda Nelson and husband Justin, and Jamie Ehrlich and fiancé Lee Sinner; 10 great grandchildren, Kiersten,Boker, Bradley Boker, Ruth Kennedy, Rachel Boker, Hayden Filsinger, Erik Kennedy, Tracey Filsinger, Abigayle Boker, Mekenna Kennedy and Kylee Meek. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard Kennedy, and grandson Michael Tidquist.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4th, 2008 at the Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church, 950 43rd Avenue. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran School in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue.
