William G. “Bill” Rocha, 60 of Evans passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Gray Cara West in Evans.
He was born on May 28, 1956 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado to John and Grace Violet (Velasquez) Rocha.
Bill graduated from Wiggins High School in 1974. He later attended U.N.C. in Greeley. He was an avid sports fan and had a remarkable talent for remembering stats and events in sports history, his favorite college team being the Colorado Buffalos. He worked for EFTC in Evans for 3 years and later worked for Remote Switch Systems for 23 years. He also worked for Farmers Inn in LaSalle as a bartender for many years, which he enjoyed very much. Everyone there were more than co-workers, they were like family. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He touched many lives, and anyone who met him loved him dearly.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Jennifer Rocha of Evans and Courtney and Lindsey Rocha both of Greeley; a son, Adam Rocha of Evans; a sister, Susan Rocha of LaSalle; 2 brothers, John Rocha of Ft. Lupton and Joseph Rocha of Greeley; 13 grandchildren and his ex-wife, Gail Strausheim of Evans.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Rocha and a brother, Mike Rocha.
Recitation of Rosary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue in Greeley. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church. His urn will be buried at a later date in the Hoyt Cemetery in Hoyt, Colorado.
