Obituary

Wilma June Foose, 76, of rural Eaton, went to be with the Lord May 3, 2011 from the Hospice Inpatient Unit.
Wilma was born May 23, 1934 to Fred and Martha (Bernhardt) Buxman in Kuner, Colorado. She attended school in Kuner through the seventh grade and completed her education in Eaton, graduating from Eaton High School in 1952. She married Richard Lee Foose on March 11, 1955 at St. Paul's Congregational Church.
She was a baptized and confirmed member of St. Paul's attending Bible studies, balance class, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Wilma was also a member of Greeley After Five Christian Women's Club and served on their Executive Board. In her sixties she fulfilled her life-long desire for adult baptism. Later in life she also attended Galeton Community Church.
Mrs. Foose worked five years with Agland Potato growers, tirelessly worked on the farm milking cows and in the fields, and had a 24-year career at The Eaton Bank becoming an officer.
Wilma loved flower gardening for the joy of growing them, but even more for the joy of giving them. Many people received loving bouquets from Wilma's garden. She was a friend in time of need to many, bringing flowers, prayers, and kind words of love and comfort. She loved antique auctions, garage sales, drives to Grover and Pawnee Buttes, and would often be seen on long walks with her beloved German Shepherd. Her love of children made her a much loved neighbor to many little ones throughout her life.
Wilma's last years were lived with the challenges of Alzhiemer's and cancer. She was lovingly cared for by family until the last day in her earthly body.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Richard Foose, daughters Kristal Deeann Foose, and Janell Dawn Foose and husband Dale Demaree of Greeley.
She was preceded in death by a son Richard Lee Foose, Jr., parents Fred and Martha Buxman, and sisters, Ruth Sitzman and Gladys Buxman. Graveside services 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Eaton Cemetery. A memorial service will follow on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Eaton Evangelical Free Church. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4pm -7pm at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Galeton Community Church or St. Paul's Congregational Church.
