Wilma Ruth Latimer, 90, of Greeley, Colorado died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 at Hospice at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Wilma was born on Nov. 9, 1924 in Bloomington, IN to James and Letitia (Still) Paschal.

Wilma graduated from Ellettsville High School in Ellettsville, IN. She married her high school sweetheart, James Russell DeFord. They had one child, Sherry. Jimmy was a Corporal in the Marines and was killed on Okinawa in May 1945. In Oct. 1952 Wilma married Wade Latimer of Bloomington, IN. Wade passed away in March 1993. Wilma moved to Greeley, CO in 2001 to be close to her daughter and grandchildren.

Wilma worked in various positions, until her retirement, at First National Bank of Bloomington, which later became Bank One. She and Wade enjoyed spending time in Colorado with Sherry and son-in-law Ken Harpring and their two children, Cindy and Joe.

Wilma attended the Assembly of God Church in Ellettsville where she served on the church board and as treasurer. She also played the piano and organ for services.
Wilma was known for her funny sense of humor and for playing silly tricks on everyone, including her wonderful caregiver, Patti Bennett.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Sherry, former son-in-law Ken Harpring, grandchildren Cindy and Joe (Karen), great-grandchildren, Joey and Jesse Harpring, and several nieces and nephews. Wilma will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bloomington, IN.
