Winifred "Winnie" Carpio, 76 of Greeley, died on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at home surrounded by her family She was born on May 25, 1933 in Liverpool, England to Frederick and Alice (Steele) Fricker. On September 21, 1954 she married Manuel L. Carpio of Gill, CO. Since 1980, she was an active member of the Pheasant Run Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed sharing the Bible's hope of a time when death, pain and sorrow would be no more. A loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family and friends, dancing, clogging and playing table tennis. Survivors include two sons, Orlie Carpio of Gibsonia, PA and Louie Carpio and wife Cynthia of Eaton; four daughters, Kathy Behring, Cindy Peragine and husband Ron and Rosanne Christy and husband Olin, all of Greeley and Diane Segura and husband Tom of Eaton; 10 grandchildren, Philip and Ryan Salamanca, Amber Noon, Lindsey and Tanya Carpio, Miranda Marquez and Cameron Segura, Kyegan, Devan and Brennan Christy and 1 great grandchild, Jayden Marquez; a sister Alice Robinson and a brother Fred Fricker both of England. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Carpio, Her parents, a brother Jim Fricker, and sister Elise Brown. A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4702 W. 3rd Street in Greeley.
