Yamir Vazquez, 18, of Greeley, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026.
He was born on June 4, 2008, in Greeley, Colorado. He attended Severance schools, graduating from Severance High School in 2025. After graduating, Yamir began working for Mesbergen Farms. He was also a co-founder of GTY Trucking with his father, Eleazar, and his brother, German. His family remembers what a hard worker he was, giving his all to everything he put his mind to. He loved his job and dreamed of becoming a trucker, like many other members of his family.
Outside of work, Yamir loved to wind down by spending time with his family, going out to eat with his friends and cousins, and playing video games or, occasionally, a pick-up game of baseball. He liked being in the water and enjoyed spending time in the pool. He was a kind soul with a love for all animals. Yamir was also dedicated to his faith and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnstown every Sunday.
